The idea
Two halves,
one salon
Venus and Mars. Gold and green. Two halves of the same circle, which is exactly how we think a village salon should work.
Plenty of places say they do men's hair. Fewer actually make it feel that way once you are through the door. Here, everyone gets the same welcome, the same chair and the same care, whether you are in for a full head of highlights or a fifteen minute tidy up.
Venus & Mars opened in August 2026, founded by Becki Slawson. We are new, and we would rather earn your custom than inherit it. Good hair, good vibes, great people. That is the whole idea.
What we do
Services
Everything you would expect from a proper salon, for everyone who walks in. Give us a ring and we will talk you through prices and find you a time.
Cutting
Cut and blow dry, restyles, trims and fringe tidies. Long hair, short hair, whatever you walk in with.
Colour
Full head and half head colour, highlights, balayage, root tints and toners.
Barbering
Scissor cuts, clipper cuts, fades and neck tidies. Booked in properly, not squeezed around everyone else.
Styling & finishing
Blow dries, curls and set styling for weddings, parties and nights out.
Senior Citizens
A discounted rate for our older customers. Give us a ring and we will let you know how it works.
Little ones
First haircuts and school-run trims, with the patience that goes with them.
